Helping pups and their people thrive.
Positive dog training from basics to behavioral challenges.
Build the best relationship with your dog.
Hi, I’m Liv Arent…
I am a certified dog trainer who loves to recreate in the outdoors with my dogs. We love to hike, ski, bike, paddle board, swim and more. Let’s be honest, life is more fun with a dog!
Not every dog is ready to go on every adventure; some dogs have a hard time coping with every day life. If you have a dog like that, you are not alone. I have two dogs with big feelings, so I understand how challenging it can be!
I have worked with my dogs to have a great, trusting relationship, clear communication, and a toolbox of skills so we can navigate any situation and enjoy an adventure filled life together. I can help you do the same with your dog by learning how your dog communicates, building skills together, and meeting their needs consistently.
I am happy to help you with basics like loose leash walking and not jumping to greet people, to behavioral challenges like reactivity, fear, and aggression, to learning a new dog with your dog like mountain biking. Dogs are not trying to misbehave, they just need to be shown what we expect them to do in certain situations. Reach out and let’s get you started on your next adventure!

Services
Relationship based, positive training
It is more important how you make your dog feel than what you make them do. The relationship you have with your dog is key to enjoying life together. Build the best relationship between you and your dog through positive reinforcement, meeting their needs, and simply enjoying each other. There are small changes that you can make to your daily routine that will make huge changes for you and your dog. The stronger your relationship is, the more adventures you can enjoy together.
-
Relationship Focused
A good relationship is built on trust and good communication. The relationship you have with your dog is no different. Having a great relationship with your dog is key to having a great life together.
-
Empathy
Your dog has feelings, desires, and needs just as you do. Your dog is not trying to be bad, they are having a hard time and need your help to show them more desirable behaviors. We can help them to be their best selves by meeting their needs consistently.
-
Positive Reinforcement
It is scientifically proven that using positive training methods produces more effective and longer lasting training results. Dogs actually enjoy the learning process and know good things come from you when they listen.
-
Data Driven
You can track the progress you and your dog are making through data driven training plans. Training is not linear, but when there is a consistent downward trend we can get to the root and get back on track when using data in training.
